Dalswinton Barony Kirk
The Dalswinton Barony Kirk lies in the centre of the estate and is used on a regular basis by the community. Barony Kirk, is a historic “tin tabernacle”. Ordered from a catalogue as a “flat-pack” kit, this bright red, corrugated iron church was commissioned by Mrs. McAlpine-Leny in 1881.
There is a small local committee who organise non-denominational services. The carol service on Christmas Eve is the flagship local event of the year, all are welcome and mince pies and mulled wine are served at the service. The Barony Kirk is also available for weddings, funerals, and other events.
